This power surge suppressor was installed behind my flat panel TV and works perfectly so far. Havn't had an electric surge yet, so I can't tell if it stops a surge, but I would hope it does if it happens.

The package comes with everything you need to install this in a double-outlet box. The recessed outlets are a great feature. This works great behind a flat screen TV. Do not try to install in a shallow box.

This is the perfect solution for wall-mounted HDTV's, offering superior surge protection as well as two recessed plugs for additional room behind your new set. The new LCD and Plasma TV's are very sensitive to voltage surges; however, if you're mounting the tv on the wall, space is at a premium and the last thing needed is another device between the set and the wall.
