 "Good choice so far." 2009-10-02
By Elliot Riggott
Very happy with the HD65 so far. I had other AV issues but once that was resolved, the picture and ease of use are great. I have mine set up as a ceiling mount rear projector. Easy to mount and focus. Picture looks great and I am excited to have my partons enjoy it as they watch the game.

 "Good quality, good price" 2009-09-07
By Michael Garst (key west, fl)
Have had this for about 6 months and really enjoyed it. When connected with HDMI, I had a greenish line on the right side of the screen that wasn't present when the same device was connected to a tv, but it has a edge cut feature that fixed this up.

"Extraordinary Quality at Any Price" 2009-08-15
By Michael Ellis
Spend much time researching projector purchase and I agree with all the five star ratings this projetor has received throughout the world. Color, definition, contrast, etc. are perfection and the LBX setting produces an 8' x 3.5' CinemaScope image of extraordinary quality (without an anamorphic attachment) in our new home theater even with the room lighting at one-half level. The projector and our super 5.1 Dolby sound system creates a true theater experience. In fact, no theater I've attended in NYC or LA has better sound or picture; even with 70mm projection. You gotta get one of these.

 "not a technical review" 2009-06-20
By Mary (California)
This won't be a technical review because I'm not a major videophile. We didn't do a lot of research before buying a projector for our television and movie watching pleasure. We went to an electronics store, found the handful that were in our price range and selected the one with the best review averages from various sites. This is the one we brought home.

Setting it up was very simple. We use the Bose 123 system which has outputs for its own DVD player and for the cable signal that we run through the Bose. Sometimes we will use a computer if we want to display the output from computer game play.

We have this in a 20x20' room. The projector sits on our coffee table at the moment. it is approximately 13' from the wall where the display is projected. We have an average image size of 110" diagonal. It's big.

We don't even have a screen yet though we've been thinking about the Screen Goo product. The image on the wall cannot be nearly as good as on a proper surface. But we still have a nice crisp image that makes watching TV and movies just fine for us.

We have had this for just under 10 weeks and haven't had any bulb issues yet. Fingers crossed since I'd rather save money for a proper screen surface.

I took off a star because the interface can be annoying. For example - if you change the aspect ratio you have to hit menu again to get the ratio selection off of the screen. I also worry a bit that if something happens to the remote we won't be able to use the projector because there are things you can do with the remote that can't be done with the buttons right on the projector, like turn it off and on. There is a button for that, but the projector only responds to a power command from the remote.

Overall we're really happy with this. We finally have an affordable and portable big screen.

 "Excellent Value" 2009-06-19
By Always Satisfied
This projector was bought after about two years of research (the time it took to build my basement) - and it is worth every penny I spent on it. It is a great addition to any home theater - esp those wanting a slim form factor projector that is relatively easy to set up and mount.
