I just put this into my HT and the resulting clarity in both picture and sound across my components is nothing short of remarkable, and I can tell because I calibrated them. You just aren't getting everything out of your setup without it. I wondered if I was simply paying 200 dollars for peace of mind, but this Powercenter also provides a noticeable increase in performance.

CUSTOMER SUPPORT:
I had the Monster HTS 3500 MKII which I purchased from Amazon for a way lot more back in 2005. When it gave in, I called Monster Cable and because I was well within the 5-year warranty they replaced it no questions asked. You simply send in the old unit and in a few weeks you get whatever is the replacement model at that time. In my case it was the HTS 3600 MKII.
DESIGN:
Although I loved the look of the 3500 MKII with it's centre analog gauge in blue backlight, the 3600 MKII series was essentially the same in terms of design and dimension but with the replacement of the centre display to a digital read-out in red backlight with which you can adjust the intensity of the illumination by rotating one of the metal knobs.
Design-wise, it is very clean, simple and elegant that reminds me of audiophile-grade equipment encased in thick metal housing minus the expensive pricing.
FEATURES:

- Digital LED display with adjustable brightness switchable from showing AC draw or input current
- Simple light indicators showing "power on", "switched on", "unswitched on", "timed on", "wiring ok", "ground ok", "clean power on", and "abnormal voltage". (Honestly, I appreciate the lights but it's confusing at a glance without coming in close which lights should be on or off to indicate your unit is running in excellent condition.)
- Various filtered outlets to address different audio, video and multi-media components such as "Digital Filter", "Video Filter", "Analog Audio Filter", "High Current Audio Filter", as well as co-axial and phone line surge protection outlets.
PERFORMANCE:
Performance-wise is so-so in my experience. According to the description iIt's supposed to offer a "high level of component isolation and noise rejection for better picture and sound". However, I haven't noticed any obvious difference in terms of picture and sound quality with my HDTV, PS3, and Studio Monitor speakers all connected to the device.
What's disappointing is that my studio monitor speakers which each have their own built-in amplifiers still have a minute buzzing noise when the HDTV (also connected to the PowerCentre) is turned on. If the Monster HTS 3600 MKII PowerCenter can truly isolate components, then it isn't doing a very good job in this feature.
CONCLUSION:
With that said, I am still recommending the HTS 3600 MKII PowerCenter for the other features, pricing and design. With the 6500 joule rating then I'm banking on this unit to take the hit when a surge comes knocking rather than my other components which when combined in cost you'll be happy you sacrificed only one (this one) for the team.

My girlfriend got this as part of a home theatre system. It failed after about a year, leaving the whole system dead. The internal power supply had melted down. It's really low tech inside. Basically, this is just a fancy voltmeter with some small surge absorbers and filter networks inside a large bulky cabinet. A cheap $30 surge absorber/power distribution strip from Walmart works just as well and is probably 10X more reliable. As far as the filtering, it's a complete waste of money, since all new electronics equipment must already meet stringent FCC regulations for electrical noise emissions. Don't waste your money on this junk.
